attila gyorfi
Choreographer, dancer, aerialist
I started my studies as a dance artist in Pécs at the Secondary School of Arts Pécs, which I completed in 2013.
During my school years I performed in several pieces of the National Theater of Pécs.
For a year I was a member of the Kecskemét City Ballet founded by Dóra Barta, during which time I had the chance to perform in the joint production of Badora Dance Company and the Hungarian National Ballet in the role of Thybalt, which was my first significant role.
I moved back to Pécs, where I worked as a freelance dancer for a year: I participated in Tamás Juronics' show for the Szegedi Szabadtéri Játékok, and in Jungle Book with the National Theatre of Pécs.
Later, I became a member of the South African Afro Arimba company, during which I had the opportunity to perform in various European and overseas countries.
Two years later, I continued my career as a dance artist under the wings of Norwegian Creative Studios in the United States for two years.
After moving back to Pécs, I founded the Savage Works variete company in Pécs in 2019 because I felt like I wanted to show my thoughts in my own way and pass on all the experience I have accumulated over the years.
We have already managed to present our performances several times in both Pécs and Budapest.
Among others, the Pécs Zsolnay Light Festival, the Pécs International Dance Festival and a guest performance at the Budapest International Pole Dance Competition were some of our greatest achievements.
Together with Diana Sándor, we established the Győrfi Foundation for Art, which supports talents from all over the country.
I am currently the director and choreographer of Savage Works, a member of the board of trustees of the Győrfi Foundation for Art.
